The Mississippi Gamma Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded on May 16, 1953, at the University of Southern Mississippi. Since then, we have been developing men into leaders for their families, campus, and community. In order to become leaders on campus, we encourage our brothers to get involved with student organizations. We currently have brothers leading in on-campus organizations such as IFC Executive Board, Student Government Association, Southern Style, Golden Eagle Welcome Week (GEWW), and much more. One way that we stay involved in our community is through our philanthropy, Extra Table. Extra Table is a non-profit organization that feeds hungry Mississippians in the Hattiesburg area. Every year our chapter hosts a Chili Cook-Off to raise money to benefit Extra Table. We pride ourselves on being balanced men. This means maintaining a sound mind and body. We excel in athletics and still make it a priority to focus on getting our degrees. In 2015, our chapter was awarded a Buchanan Cup, which recognizes the top chapters of SigEp nationwide. We are very proud of our accomplishments and are currently working to remain at the top!
